Eight faculty and staff members share their favorite books—both old and new.

Fifteen tenured/tenure-track faculty members, five instructional faculty members and five research faculty members were promoted, effective between November 2023 and August 2024. Two additional faculty members were named Distinguished University Professor—the highest academic honor bestowed by the university.

NSF Fellowships honor outstanding graduate students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Courtney Grimes’ (Ph.D. ’21, chemistry) experience in the Amgen Scholars Summer Program set her on a path toward atmospheric chemistry and charted the course for her current career.

Dixon was recognized for her impact in curriculum development, medical school application support and student mentorship.

The Gemstone Honors students are researching whether common varieties of mushrooms can prevent infections linked to medical implants. 

The awards will enable the students to conduct research and present at scientific conferences over the summer.

More than 1,600 students from our college are set to graduate in May 2024.
